Happy Birthday Dori!

Happy Birthday to the nicest person in the whole wide world...seriously.

We kicked off the birthday celebrations this weekend by going to a Dallas Stars game downtown and then going to hear Buddy Guy at Billy Bob's in Fort Worth. Dean was in town so we had plenty of laughs. The Stars game, to me, was incredibly fun and we had awesome seats! Unfortunatelyt there were no good fights, but it was still a great game and the Stars won so that was even better.

Billy Bob's is the biggest bar I have EVER seen. It has a showroom, a ton of different bars, a restaurant, it even has a rodeo area (or so we were told). Definitely has the Texas feel to it. Buddy Guy was awesome. Not usually my type of music but I thoroughly enjoyed myself and Buddy Guy had some sick moves.

Tonight we we will continue the celebration by either going out to dinner, or making dinner here and watching the bachelor since tonight

...SPOILER ALERT...

Emily actually wins, NOT Chantal! (crazy, I know, but Reality Steve has been giving us wrong information all season and just figured out he was wrong the whole time)....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!

Mildly Obsessed...

I cannot get over all the bright colors that are all over the place for the Spring...I cannot WAIT to wear neon's from head to toe.

Update on Meeting George

So Alex came in town the other weekend and lucky for me she is a Republican and loves George (I like to think we are on a first name basis) almost as much as I do. Her mom also dislikes Obama as much as I do so I was in fantastic company. The three of us went out to lunch and decided to drive around University Park because the houses there are HUUUGEEEEEEE and in the prettiest neighborhoods ever. I then went on to say that George lived in the area and we should see if we could find his house. Alex got on her phone and found his address so we put it into the trusty GPS and went on our way. On our drive there I was debating on what I would do if we actually happened to find his house and the obvious answer was to just ring the doorbell and tell him how much I loved him and how much he would love my family (not thinking about the idea that he was the President of the United States and hated by many at that). My thoughts were interrupted by the sudden screech of the brakes and the enormous gate that we were about to turn into. Duh. George lives in a gated community.

Anyone would have known that except for the three of us. I came back and told my parents about how we tried to find his house and before I could even finish they both said, "He lives in a gated community." Honestly how did I not think of that. He was the President, tons of people hate him (how rude!), and there are crazy people like me who think he would really love to be friends with my Dad...of COURSE he lives in a gated community, probably surrounded by body guards. So attempt #1 was a fail...better luck next time...

I did find out that he goes to this church

Looks like I will be paying a couple of visits to that church. He also is said to stop in on some of the Political Science classes at SMU so I may be pretending I am enrolled in some of those classes as well...hopefully I won't get called on.

7 Facts Blog Award

Christine passed this on to me...Here is how it works:

1. Link the person who awarded you!
2. Post seven random facts about yourself.
3. Pass this award along to 15 other bloggers (only if you wish)

1. I am a true teeny bopper at heart. I am 22 and one of the last concerts I went to was the Jo Bro's. I have an extreme case of Bieber Fever and anyone who doesn't think he is the cutest thing in the world is crazy.

2. I LOVE musicals. Me and Christine harmonize very well and I think we would be assets to any musical (front runners would be Rent or Moulin Rouge)...I would also settle for Glee because that show is the bomb.com

3. I have a strange obsession with Kim Kardashian. Most people's most visited site would probably be Facebook or their e-mail or something of that sort...mine, however, is Kim Kardashian's blog. I think she is the most gorgeous girl in the world and am way too jealous of her life. I wouldn't mind dating a professional athlete, making millions off of various reality T.V. shows, and having enough money to buy 10 Berkin bags in one trip.

4. I love school supplies. I always get excited to go school supplies shopping before the first day of school. It probably started when I was really young but I still enjoy it to this day. Love getting new binders, pens, pencils, pencil pouches, five stars, crayons, markers, protractors, locker mirrors, locker shelves, bookbags, lunch boxes, etc. Lisa Frank was the best. I am actually applying to grad school as we speak and will be excited to have the chance to go back to school shopping again if I ever get accepted anywhere...

5. I am a boy when it comes to sports. I know a lot of girls say they like sports because it makes them "look good" in front of boys...but I actually like sports and enjoy watching them. I think making bets on sports is extremely entertaining and exhilarating...I have never actually used my own money to make the bet but I have used others and its fun...you should try it. I also wish I was Erin Andrews.

6. I drink more soda than anyone I know. It is really bad. Since I have been in Texas I have cut back a TON but I still drink way too much. Instead of drinking 8 glasses of water a day I drink 8 glasses of soda. (Not really but if it wasn't so terribly bad for me then I totally would)...

7. And the one thing I love more than teeny boppers, musicals, Kim K, binders, sports, and soda is DESSERTS! yummmmm. Sometimes I have brownies and coke for breakfast and Christine thinks it is hilarious. I love chocolate so much. There is nothing better to me than a piece of pecan pie, a brownie sundae, a piece of turtle cheesecake, cake balls from whole foods, Robin's sisters oreo balls, I could go on and on and on and on and on and on and on.... I LOVE CHOCOLATE

Okay, that is all. I am not passing it on to anyone else because it reminds me of those stupid chain e-mails I used to get saying that if I sent it to 10 people the boy I liked would fall in love with me and that never happened....

Back to Blogging....

So, I am back...Christine said she needs more to read while she is at work and I guess the overwhelmingly large amount of information on the internet just isn't enough...

I will now take the time to catch everyone up on my exciting life...
1. I graduated from NC State (finally)
2. Moved back home, "home" being Dallas...
3. Started an internship that I am not very good at
4. Began the application process to grad school which I am REALLY not good at

While I am in Dallas I have 2 big goals....

The first is to meet C.J. Wilson (Texas Rangers pitcher) and have him fall in love with me..

The second is to meet these two people and have them fall in love with my whole family (or at least my immediate family)...

I KNOW our families could be great friends, they just have to give us the chance...

So thats all for now, I have to go plan how I am going to make these things happen...I think my best bet is to try and get a job with the Rangers (for those who don't know, that is honestly like my DREAM job) and hope that I can meet both C.J. and George through that....any ideas?

Back to Skool

So my first day of my "Victory Lap" starts tomorrow and I am automatically regretting this decision. Why didn't I just knock out these last couple of classes in summer school? I wouldn't be regretting the decision so much if I still got to go back to school shopping with my mom and get all sorts of fun things like new tennis shoes, snakeskin pleather pants, a matching Guess snakeskin shirt, SCHOOL SUPPLIES (five stars, planners, trapper keepers, Lisa Frank folders, pencil pouches, lunch boxes, etc)....but since I am 22 and taking an EXTRA semester to finish college, it looks like I won't be getting any of those fun things. All I get now is a couple binders, some paper, a parking pass and a nice big "How to crack the GRE" study book....BORING!

However a girl can dream right? If I had all the money in the world to spend "Back to School Shopping" this is what I would buy...

Toms (love the leopard!)

these I will never get sick of looking at! to D-I-E for!

love stripes!

this. jacket. is. bananas.

urban sweater

maybe the coolest Free Peeps jacket ever

really diggin the military inspired looks for the fall

still want a fur vest...never had one last season and was not happy about it

Clearly I do not have the funds to even purchase one of these things so I will keep on looking at them daily so that I will hopefully get sick of them before I find the money to buy them :) So I go back to school with none of these and if anyone happens to be on campus, you will most likely see me in sweat pants and a t-shirt rather than a snazzy pair of bubblegum pants from Wet Seal like you would have in 7th grade :(
